Darryl Dean Begay Sterling Silver Bracelet
Navajo artist and jeweler, Darryl Dean Begay, has become a master tufa caster. Tufa Casting is the process of carving meticulously into volcanic rock predominantly found near the Hopi Reservation. Once Darryl receives the tufa stone he will spend time creatively designing his wearable art. After he achieves his design he then casts the piece in this case in sterling silver. There are multiple designs used to tell a story with this bracelet. On one side Darryl depicts corn stock which is widely used in the villages which is depicted on the opposite side of this silver bracelet. Center set in a 14K gold bezel is gem-quality Candelaria turquoise stone.
