David Bradley Painting
David Bradley (Minnesota Chippewa b. 1954) One of the youngest artists Elaine Horwitch took on was the precocious David Bradley, who only found out of his native roots when he was 21. He did not pursue the art world until he was 26 after returning from serving all over the world in the Peace Corps. He was most noted for his satire. He played a leading role in exposing artists who falsely claimed Indian heritage. His activities caused great friction be him and Horwitch, who was more concerned with the bottom line than the origins of her artists.
