Don Supplee Sterling Silver Inlaid Morning Star Bracelet

Don Supplee  (b.1965)

Don Supplee started making Hopi jewelry, which uses a lot of symbols and designs prominent in the Hopi Culture. Like this bracelet, which has four cut-out “Morning Stars.” The Morning Star brings a new day when the sunshine lights the Earth, getting a new dawn. This symbolizes that each day is a gift and offers guidance from the spirit world and ancestors. Don added a raised inlay of Lone Mountain turquoise, lapis, and fine-line gold accent bars on either side and the center of this polished sterling silver bracelet. Don is the brother of notable jeweler Charles Supplee. On the back, Don signed this bracelet with his stylized stamp “Supplee.”
