Guilloume Reliefs Titled: “Camouflage”
I have always loved using the human figure, specifically the female form, as a study. The posture of a woman while sitting, reclining, or walking conveys so much and does so with a great degree of honesty. And when a woman looks at you, she need not speak a word fro yo to know her disposition. In this relief sculpture, I have sculpture resting, relaxed women which accentuates the model’s handsome figure. However, she uses her hat to hide her face. This serves as camouflage to keep her feelings from being revealed and to veil the intimacy of her facial expression from onlookers.
