Preston Monongye Sterling Silver Tufa Cast Bracelet

Preston Monongye (1927-1987) served in two wars, worked in law enforcement, and was an employee for the Bureau of Indian Affairs years before becoming an artist in jewelry making. he made thisĀ sterling silver tufa cast Hopi bracelet depicting a Mud Head Kachina dancer and a single turquoise stone. Preston is the father to Jesse Monongye who today carries on his father’s tradition of jewelry making.
