Inlaid Pendant & Pin
Medium — Sterling silver with a removable 14k gold bail hook
Inlay — Opal and Rosarita with fine-line gold accents
Dimensions — 5 in. × 2 in. W
A sterling silver pendant-and-pin combination by Duane Maktima, with a removable 14k gold bail hook, inlaid with opal, Rosarita, and fine-line gold accents.
Rosarita is an intriguing by-product of the gold-smelting process: as gold ore is heated, the gold separates and sinks while the non-metals solidify into stones of red, orange, and yellow.
