Consignment at Faust Gallery

I have been asked quite a few times about this remarkable photo, and people say, “Who are those guys and that woman with you”? Well, this shot was taken as Lovena, and I was moving into this beautiful space in 1987 on Marshall Way in Scottsdale by Georgia Loloma. The roster is as follows: Painter David Johns is to the far left, followed by jeweler James Little, jeweler Harvey Begay, sand painter Joe Ben Jr., jeweler Larry Golsh, Master Jeweler, painter, and potter Charles Loloma, my great aunt Lovena Ohl, the most incredible person ever, and myself, Shaliyah Ben, Joe’s daughter. Last but not least is Charles Supplee, jeweler extraordinaire!Bill Faust II

Consignment at Faust Gallery

At Faust Gallery, we approach consignment as a partnership grounded in trust, experience, and respect for the work. For over 45 years, we’ve helped clients place significant pieces of American Indian and contemporary art and jewelry with collectors, institutions, and those just building their collections.

A Legacy of Stewardship

Our history begins in the 1970s with Lovena Ohl, a pioneering figure in the field of American Indian art. As a buyer for the Heard Museum Gift Shop and later founder of her own gallery in 1978, she played a key role in introducing collectors to some of the most important Native artists of the 20th century. Lovena was known for her discerning eye, deep artist relationships, and commitment to authenticity—values that remain central to Faust Gallery today.

Bill Faust, her great-nephew, worked closely with her for over a decade before founding Faust Gallery in 1996. He continued her work with the same sense of purpose, building lasting relationships with artists and helping to ensure their work is represented with integrity and care.

Over the decades, we’ve collaborated directly with many of the most respected Native American artists, as well as with families, estates, and institutions. Our gallery continues to honor these connections while showcasing exceptional work by contemporary voices.
