Spanish Market Exhibition: Alejandra Montano
Where: 142 Lincoln Ave, STE 102, Santa Fe, NM, 87501
When: July 24th, 2026 at 5 p.m to 7 p.m.
Our Spanish Market Exhibition this year features the work of Tucson-based painter Alejandra Montano. Montano’s exhibition will take place Friday, July 24, from 5 to 7 PM, and Alejandra will be coming up for the weekend and will be in the gallery to speak with collectors about this new work and series.
The exhibition is titled Aqui Seguimos: Stories of Faith, Resilience & Hope. Aquí seguimos is a phrase that loosely translates to “We’re still here” or “We keep going.” To me, it speaks to resilience— the quiet decision to move forward, carry our traditions, love our families, and keep dreaming despite life’s challenges.
For Alejandra, the series is inspired by the women, family, and community that shaped her growing up. While each painting tells a different story, together they honor the strength, faith, and hope that continue to be passed from one generation to the next.
Montano’s painting was recently chosen as the official poster for the 2026 Tucson Mariachi Conference. Her paintings were also just featured in Latino Pop Art.
