We recently came across an old photograph of the late Zuni jeweler Myron Panteah (b.1966-2016) holding one of his creations — the bracelet you see here.

Myron was one of the most sought-after Zuni artists of his generation. He began making jewelry as a young boy, learning from his grandfather, and carried forward that legacy with a voice entirely his own. His work is celebrated for blending traditional storytelling with a contemporary design, often drawing inspiration from petroglyphs.

This sterling silver bracelet is a great example of his style of jewelry. Designed after a Maiden figure, it features petroglyph-inspired cutouts, a raised 14k gold accent, and a turquoise face.
