Clarence Lee (1952–2011) and his son Russell Lee ( Clarence Lee (1952–2011) and his son Russell Lee (b. 1976) are Navajo jewelers known for their unique storyteller jewelry, which brings to life scenes of everyday Navajo life through intricate metalwork. Working from their studio in Twin Lakes, New Mexico, the Lees developed a distinctive style using sculptural techniques in sterling silver often highlighting humor, memory, and cultural identity.

This sterling silver truck bracelet is a signature example of their collaborative storytelling. Designed in Clarence’s bold narrative style and completed with Russell’s skilled handwork, the bracelet features a raised, three-dimensional vintage pickup truck. Every detail—from the textured wheels to the careful shaping of the truck’s silhouette—reflects their shared creativity and craftsmanship.

As with many of their pieces, Clarence led the design and layout, while Russell contributed to the cut-out elements and fine finishes. Their work together creates wearable stories that are both artful and deeply rooted in Navajo life. This bracelet is not just jewelry—it’s a miniature sculpture and a playful yet masterful representation of their collaborative vision.

Amerman is one of many who pioneered a style he calls photo-beadalism, a way of using glass beads like brushstrokes to create lifelike imagery. Each bead is stitched into contemporary fine art as well as wearable art by hand beading multi-colored glass.
