This micro inlay dog pin by Carl and Irene Clark t This micro inlay dog pin by Carl and Irene Clark turns a simple, stylized dog into a mosaic of hundreds of tiny stones. Carl cut and set every piece of turquoise, coral, lapis, jet, and mother-of-pearl by hand, and Irene built the sterling silver form that holds them. At the center of the body sits their signature Yei figure. With both a pin back and a bail, you can wear it as a brooch or on a chain. Available online at faustgallery.com or in our Santa Fe Gallery. Every bolo tells a story and it was a pleasure tal Every bolo tells a story and it was a pleasure talking with @williammatthewsstudio over the past year while he photographed and wrote his new book, Bolo. Pick up a copy here in Santa Fe at @cwbookstore . The book features more than 500 bolos, many never published before, alongside photos of icons wearing them, from Bob Dylan’s turquoise bear claw to Bob Weir’s peyote bird. It highlights the artists who shaped the form, especially Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni makers, and is organized by theme across eras, regions, and styles.
