Three Navajo Yei masks, cast in sterling silver by Three Navajo Yei masks, cast in sterling silver by Ric Charlie. Ric is one of the finest tufa-cast jewelers working today. He carves each design in reverse into volcanic tufa stone, then pours in molten silver. Look closely at the levels of depth: stepped panels, fine lines and raised triangles, all carved into the stone by hand. A colored patina in the recesses sets off the bright silver. The masks have lapis eyes and mouths of coral and sugilite. Turn it over and there’s Monument Valley on the back, signed RC. 3¾” × 1⅝” · fits a 1½” belt Available now at Faust Gallery, Santa Fe. Designed by Navajo jewelry designer Mia Zaara Hamd Designed by Navajo jewelry designer Mia Zaara Hamdouni of Santa Fe, New Mexico, this 14k gold ring features a band of Sleeping Beauty turquoise set in clean, segmented pieces spaced by fine-line gold accents and framed by rows of diamond accents. Mia’s contemporary approach balances precision craftsmanship with an elegant, wearable silhouette. The vivid, natural blue of Sleeping Beauty turquoise creates a bold yet timeless contrast against the warm glow of 14k gold, while the diamonds add subtle brilliance and depth to the ring’s surface. The result is a sophisticated statement piece that reflects Hamdouni’s modern design language and her commitment to fine materials. Red, white, and blue worked in stone and gold. A Red, white, and blue worked in stone and gold. A 18k gold bolo tie by Navajo jeweler Wes Willie: a peace sign inlaid with coral, ivory, and lapis, finished with fine gold spacers and a dangling feather. Coral for red, ivory for white, lapis for blue with peace at the center of it all. No more fitting way to mark the Fourth. From all of us at Faust Gallery, a safe and happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸 Bolo available- Faust Gallery | Santa Fe | Scottsdale faustgallery.com Model: @oweerae
Micro-inlay so fine it reads like painting in ston Micro-inlay so fine it reads like painting in stone. Carl and Irene Clark are among the most technically accomplished jewelers working in the Diné (Navajo) tradition, building vibrant micro-fine inlaid images from hundreds of tiny, hand-cut stones — each one individually shaped and set by hand. This sterling silver bolo pairs that with tufa casting, where the design is carved into volcanic tufa stone and molten silver is poured to take its form. The result: a stylized Navajo Yei figure, rendered in inlay so intricate. Carl & Irene Clark (Diné) Sterling silver tufa cast bolo tie with micro-inlay Yei design 27¼″ L · Bolo 2⅛″ L × 1⅝″ W, tapering to ⅞″ Available online at faustgallery.com or in our Santa Fe Gallery.
