Wide Open Mesa was based on trip in 2019 to Southern Utah. This Mesa is in Teasdale Utah actually out the back door where i stayed. The wide open space of the area made it easy to paint with the distance mesa expanding across the horizon. Galleta grass fills this painting as it expands into the distance.
