In 2019 I made a trip to Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. Marble Canyon was part of the trip off of US89a. A great morning for shadow development and early cloud formations. Line perspective for distance and depth in this painting along with a minimalist highlight of shapes and forms of the rock faces and cliff shadows.The desert forground accents the oranges and reds of a early day developing.
