This sterling silver tufa cast ring features a single Kingman turquoise stone. Tim is a jeweler in Cochiti Pueblo, NM, who focuses on contemporary jewelry making. Tufa casting involves carving a design into volcanic rock, or “tufa stone.” Molten metals are poured into the tufa stone, leaving behind the cast metal and carved designs. Tim has been making jewelry for over 13 years, learning independently, but he also took some skills from his father.
