Duane Maktima sterling silver pendant and pin combination with 14k gold bail hook, which is removable. Duane inlaid this silver piece with opal, delicate line gold accents, and Rosarita. Rosarita is a unique and intriguing by-product of the gold smelting process. Gold smelting is a complex and fascinating process of extracting gold from ore by heating it to high temperatures. As the ore is heated, the gold separates from the other metals and sinks to the bottom, forming a molten pool of shimmering yellow liquid. Meanwhile, the non-metals in the ore solidify into stones of red, orange, and yellow.

In an age where technological advancements offers a deceptive sense of security, Rake’s work examines the delicate balance between humanity’s desire to dominate the natural world and our inherent vulnerability within it. The turbulent waters and tumultuous skies dominate the canvas, emphasizing the chaos and unpredictability of nature. The vibrant golden sail of the boat stands in stark contrast to the dark, swirling waters, symbolizing the fragility of human endeavors when faced with nature’s might.

As the eye, Norbert set a single turquoise stone in a silver bezel. On the top right, he stamped a design, which he is known for making his stamps. Norbert signed this buckle with his hallmark on the front of the bottom front left inside of the back.
