James Little Charoite Earrings in Sterling Silver
Charoite is a purple stone found only in Siberia, known for its swirling, silky pattern. Paired with turquoise, it makes a bold contrast of purple and blue. The red coral on the backs adds a third color you only catch from certain angles, a quiet touch that rewards a closer look.
At 1 9/16 in. long and ⅜ in. wide, the earrings are slim and easy to wear. The omega clips add a hinged support behind the post, which keeps them sitting straight and secure.
About James Little
James Little is a Navajo (Diné) jeweler, born in 1947 and raised in Pinon, Arizona, where his family herded sheep. He studied silversmithing under Kenneth Begay at Navajo Community College, and his work later caught the attention of collector and dealer Lovena Ohl, who bought all of his pieces. In 1979, Arizona Highways featured him in its collector’s edition “The New Look in Indian Jewelry,” and Phoenix Home and Garden later called him “A Master Jeweler.” His work blends traditional Navajo design with clean, modern forms. Today, a pair of James Little charoite earrings shows that balance in a small, wearable form.
