Faust Gallery is a leading American Indian art gallery, celebrated for its museum-quality Native American art and jewelry. With established locations in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, the gallery has, for over three decades, served collectors, museums, and art enthusiasts seeking the finest historic and contemporary Native American pieces.
Founded by William A. Faust II, the gallery’s story began in 1981 when he started working alongside his great-aunt, the esteemed dealer Lovena Ohl. Lovena, a trailblazer in the field, previously managed the Heard Museum Gift Shop in Phoenix, shaping it into a respected source for museum-quality Native art and jewelry. Her dedication to excellence and high standards left a lasting imprint on the Native art world, influencing generations of collectors and dealers.
Lovena Ohl later established her own gallery and earned national acclaim for promoting American Indian jewelry and art at a time when it was still striving for recognition in the fine art arena. Her curatorial expertise and mentorship elevated Native jewelry as a respected art form, setting a benchmark for quality and cultural authenticity.
Guided by her example, Bill Faust founded Faust Gallery with a mission to uphold the same integrity, cultural respect, and artistic excellence. While renowned for its exceptional Native jewelry collections, the gallery also showcases American Indian fine art in all forms, along with select contemporary works that meet its high standard of innovation and craftsmanship.
